When designing the dangle drop earrings, what was your process in designing them and what about them sparked your creativity?

Their size is so versatile! They are perfect for a dainty earring when used alone, or a more bold statement when clustered together. Their size/shape also easily works with so many other of Nirvana’s beads, and I found myself quickly wanting to try all different kinds of combinations.

What other creative ways can you use the new size dangle drops?

Pairing them with bead caps would be a fun way to dress them up. They would also make beautiful accents on a bracelet, or they could be used on the bottom of fringes which are so popular right now.

What are your favorite Nirvana color/finish combinations and why?

I love pairing Nirvana’s incredible rustic Picasso finishes with something more glam and unexpected, like a matte metallic or luster. The mercury glass finishes have been my new favorites though, as the silver brings out the rich depth of color in the beads and they seem to have an air of magic to them.

I have been designing and creating jewelry professionally since 2005. Though I originally started with bead work, I have fallen in love with metalsmithing. I have taught jewelry workshops, but still love being a student as well.
