Melons and Bead Soup Jewelry

We were attracted to Bead Soup Jewelry designs because of the playfulness in her jewelry. While browsing her online store, your eyes get delighted with her jewelry's bold features, colorful choices, and vibrant beads. We contacted Andrea immediately to make some demonstration designs out of our newest large melons. We were very pleased with the results, which came in just in time for Halloween (and she even calls some of the melons pumpkins!)!, Enjoy her designs and her process:

Pumpkin Bracelet & Earrings

When I saw these 12mm Melons I was instantly flooded with ideas.

For my bracelet I used 12mm melon beads in coral with brown wash as focal beads along with faceted black rondelle and earthy seed beads. I handknot between each bead. These melons are so bold and fun to use!

For my melon earrings I wanted to use both the 12mm melon in coral and 8mm large hole melon in silver for a festival fall look!

Woven Bracelet & Earrings

I just love the versatility of these large hole melons, I have so many uses for them. These earrings and bracelet are just a few things I have used them for.

For my Silver Melon bracelet I used the large hole melon beads in transparent with silver finish as spacers, they worked so well in this design because I needed a standout bead and with the large hole, I was able to fit my stringing material through the hole!. This knotted bracelet was so easy to make because of these melon beads from Nirvana Beads. I added a sparrow charm as a cute detail!

For my melon Earrings, I used the same 8mm transparent with silver finish at the top with bead weaving at the bottom. These melons are lovely with earth tone designs and again the big hole lets me slide a thick stringing material though with ease! Earthy fall colors woven into earrings.

For My skull earrings, I used the 8mm large hole melons in transparent with silver finish, to slide on thick metal rod as a centerpiece for these festive earrings.
